Registration Agreements

Terms and conditions governing domain registration, renewal, transfer, and related services.

Effective Date: January 1, 2024  |  Last Updated: January 1, 2026  |  Operator: eFreeDomainRegistration, Houston, Texas

Please read this agreement carefully. By registering a domain name through eFreeDomainRegistration, you agree to be bound by these terms and all applicable ICANN policies.

1. Agreement Acceptance

This Registration Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between eFreeDomainRegistration ("Registrar") and the individual or entity registering a domain name ("Registrant"). By completing the domain registration process, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement and any policies incorporated herein by reference, including ICANN's Registrar Accreditation Agreement (RAA) requirements.

2. Eligibility

To register a domain name through eFreeDomainRegistration, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age, or have parental or guardian consent
  • Provide accurate, complete, and current registrant contact information
  • Not be prohibited from receiving services under applicable law
  • Agree to comply with all applicable ICANN policies and registry requirements

3. Domain Registration

Domain name registrations are subject to the policies of the applicable registry. Registration does not guarantee perpetual rights to a domain name. eFreeDomainRegistration acts as an intermediary between registrants and registries and cannot guarantee the availability of any specific domain name.

  • Registration periods typically range from 1 to 10 years depending on the TLD
  • Registrant contact information must be accurate and kept current at all times
  • Domain names may not be used for unlawful purposes or in violation of third-party rights
  • eFreeDomainRegistration reserves the right to refuse registration at its sole discretion

4. Renewal

Domain registrations must be renewed prior to expiration to maintain active status. eFreeDomainRegistration will send renewal reminders to the registrant contact email on file. Failure to renew prior to expiration may result in:

  • Domain entering a grace period during which renewal is still possible, potentially at an additional cost
  • Domain entering a redemption period with significantly higher recovery fees
  • Domain being released for registration by any third party

eFreeDomainRegistration is not liable for domain loss resulting from failure to renew. It is the registrant's responsibility to ensure renewal is completed before expiration.

5. Transfer

Domain transfers to or from eFreeDomainRegistration are governed by ICANN transfer policy. Key transfer provisions include:

  • A domain must be unlocked prior to initiating an outbound transfer
  • An authorization code (EPP code) is required for most gTLD transfers
  • Registrant must authorize transfers via the email address on record
  • Transfers may be denied within 60 days of initial registration or a previous transfer

6. Registrant Information and WHOIS

Registrants are required to provide and maintain accurate contact information. This information may be published in public WHOIS directories as required by ICANN and applicable registry policy. Domain privacy services are available to protect personal contact information from public WHOIS queries where permitted.

7. Prohibited Uses

Registrants may not use domain names for:

  • Distributing malware, spyware, or malicious software
  • Phishing, fraud, or deceptive practices
  • Spamming or unsolicited bulk email activities
  • Infringing on third-party intellectual property or trademark rights
  • Any activity prohibited by applicable local, state, federal, or international law

8. Suspension and Cancellation

eFreeDomainRegistration reserves the right to suspend or cancel a domain registration without notice if:

  • The registrant violates the terms of this Agreement
  • Required by ICANN policy or applicable registry requirements
  • Required by a court order or law enforcement request
  • The domain is used for activities that endanger network stability or security

9. Limitation of Liability

eFreeDomainRegistration shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from domain registration, renewal failure, transfer delays, or suspension of services. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid for the specific domain registration in dispute.

10. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Houston, Texas.

11. Modifications

eFreeDomainRegistration reserves the right to modify this Agreement at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services after modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Agreement.
